Councilman Blower joins CUAD meeting

District 3 Stockton City Councilman Michael Blower

Since its inception, CUAD has had the pleasure of being visited by various city council individuals to include Council women Padilla and Warmsley as well as Mayor Lincoln and most recently Councilman Blower. At CUAD’s most recent meeting, Councilman Blower educated the group on the necessity to utilize the various committees that have been created over the years by past and present councils to bring attention to issues in our various districts.

Blower suggested that the recent Stockton City shopping cart ordinance, which came to be via the legislative committee he chairs, was an example of how citizens can create awareness with the council about issues that need to be addressed in our various districts. As well, Councilman Blower shared his views regarding Measure A auditing and transparency and was advised as to CUAD’s concerns regarding transparency of Measure A funds.

Finally, Councilman Blower brought to CUAD’s attention the City Manager’s Review Board. The board was developed to improve community-police relations as well as create comprehensive public safety strategies.
